1. What We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed version of your password. We do not collect your name, location, or any other personal information beyond what you voluntarily enter into the app.
2. End-to-End Encryption
If you enable encryption, your task data, project notes, and ideas are encrypted on your device before being sent to our servers. We store only the encrypted data and have no way to decrypt it. Your encryption key is derived from your password and never leaves your device.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your email is used for account authentication, password reset, and important service notifications (such as changes to terms or pricing). We do not send marketing emails. We do not sell, share, or rent your personal data to third parties.
4. Data Storage
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database. Connections to the service are encrypted via HTTPS. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your account and data.
5. Cookies & Analytics
Kodimu uses essential cookies for authentication session management. We also use PostHog for privacy-friendly product analytics — to understand how users navigate the app (page views, button clicks) and improve the experience. PostHog does not record your screen, keystrokes, or the content of your tasks. All text on the page is masked before any analytics data is sent. We respect the Do Not Track browser setting — if enabled, no analytics data is collected.
6. Data Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the account settings page. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers. This action cannot be undone.
7. Third-Party Services
We use Resend for transactional emails (verification codes, password resets) and PostHog for anonymous product analytics (page views, feature usage). PostHog receives no task content, project names, or other user-generated text. No other third-party services have access to your data.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
